Page Title

The battle was on September 11, 1777, and General William Howe, and General Burgoyne lead the evasion.  The battle was for Philadalphia, and the British need Philadalphia so they could block off the colonists from getting any supplies. This is a very important battle because, if the Americans couldn't get any supplies they would suffer even more than they did.  Burgoyne got held up by colonists before he got to Philadalphia, and he had to retreat back to Britan.
The British had cover, but it was not that hard to spot them. Although, our weapons were not as great as they are now
The British attacked at the right flank at 2:00 p.m.
Hassen's brigade was out flanked
so Solovan, Stephan and Sterling's divisions set up their troops in a counter attack postiton.
Howe did not work quick enough, so that bought time for the Americans to set up in the Brimmigham Meeting House, and it was about 1 mile north of Chadsford.
(Chadsford was the Americans repostion spot)
the British had a large cover area from trees, and there was a heavy fog, and the Americans had almost no cover.

Sulivan attacked a group of German Hessians near Meeting House Hill.
With Sulivan attacking the Hessians, it gave time for most of Sterling's men to retreat, but they were ambushed, and cut down by British return fire. Forcing them to retreat out of Meeting House Hill.
